Frequently asked questions
The general answer is no, as we do not operate any aircraft of our own. We conduct the training on the customer’s aircraft. However, it may be possible to arrange for you to join a training event that is being organise for another operator.
No. When you are on the TRI course, you are acting as the instructor. You cannot also be the student!
Our Headquarters are at Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, UK.
We have our office and classroom facilities here.
For aircraft-based training we go to your aircraft wherever it may be. Simulator courses are at the simulator you normally use for your recurrent training.
Yes we charge a 20% admin fee on the expenses we are invoiced from the TRI performing the base training. This covers bank fees and exchange rate differences.
Yes, if the TRI hasn’t arranged their own flights and hotel already, then please ensure you advise us once you have booked the training, and we can put you in touch with the TRI.
The minimum requirement is 4 take-offs and landings if you already have similar experience on another aircraft type. However, this is only a minimum-not a target. In most cases, the typical number is 6, and it can be higher if needed.
The TRI (Type Rating Instructor) on the day will assess your performance and may recommend additional take-offs and landings to ensure you meet the required proficiency and safety standards.
